Senior Occupational Therapist

Rachael Horner is an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist who has been supporting children, young people, families, and schools since qualifying from Brunel University in 2013.

Throughout her career, Rachael has worked across NHS settings, specialist educational provisions, and mainstream schools. She has extensive experience assessing and supporting children and young people with: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); ADHD; Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD/Dyspraxia); Sensory Processing Difficulties; Down Syndrome; Learning Disabilities; and Neuromuscular Conditions.

Rachael takes a child-centred and holistic approach to occupational therapy, recognising that successful outcomes are achieved when children feel understood, motivated, and supported by the important people around them. Whether supporting self-care skills, sensory regulation, motor development, or participation in learning, her focus is always on goals that are meaningful to the child and family.

Families value Rachael’s calm, collaborative, and practical approach. She is committed to empowering children and young people to reach their full potential while providing parents, carers, and educators with the guidance and strategies needed to support progress across all environments.
